10:30 a.m. "As a SoulCycle instructor, I spend a couple hours of every day on the bike teaching—and each class fills a physical and emotional need. It's about more than burning calories; those endorphins boost my happiness."
1 p.m. "Next, a satiating lunch at NYC's Souen: broiled salmon with steamed kabocha squash and kale, along with their corn bread topped with apple butter. Yum!"
5:30 p.m. "I live in New York's Meatpacking District, so the waterfront is a big part of my life. I'd walk along Hudson River Park with my daughters, Avital and Bar, and our shih tzu, Sophie."
7 p.m. "Each night I have a cup of tea. My go-to: The Republic of Tea's Ginger Peach Green Tea—it's soothing and helps with digestion."
Sipping slower this Sunday morning. • 48 short hours in the Catskills served me deeply this trip. I was in a full tailspin back in the city, hyper-focused, unaware of how much I was missing. Stress builds, and when we don’t pay attention to shaking it off from time to time, that heavy load becomes our new normal. But we cannot function at 100% when we are being weighed down. • This weekend has allowed me to breathe a little deeper and exhale a little fuller. • Letting go is just as important as building up. If we don’t let go of the things that are holding us back we cannot make space for the things we want to fill our lives with. • Sip your coffee slower today and take the time to be thoughtful about what it is that you DON’T need, so that you can consciously make space for the things that fuel you. • Happy MDW kids.
